MEGA WELCOMES THE APPOINTMENT OF ITS NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mbombela – The Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA) warmly welcomes the appointment of its new Board of Directors by the MEC for Economic Development and Tourism, Ms. Jesta Sidell. The appointment marks an important milestone in strengthening governance, strategic leadership, and institutional stability as MEGA advances its mandate of driving inclusive economic growth, investment promotion, enterprise development, and sustainable job creation across Mpumalanga.
The newly appointed Board will provide strategic oversight and governance to ensure that the Agency continues to deliver on its legislative mandate while supporting the priorities of the 7th Administration, particularly the commitment to inclusive economic growth and employment creation.
MEGA congratulates Mr. Jabulani Mahlangu on his appointment as Chairperson of the Board. His extensive leadership experience and previous service as Interim Chairperson provides a strong foundation for ensuring continuity, stability, and effective governance within the Agency.
The newly appointed MEGA Board comprises:

The Board will serve a four-year term and will play a critical role in providing strategic direction, strengthening governance, promoting accountability, and supporting MEGA’s efforts to attract investment, facilitate enterprise development, expand access to finance, and unlock economic opportunities that improve the lives of the people of Mpumalanga. MEGA also extends its sincere appreciation to the outgoing Interim Board for its leadership and commitment during the transition period, laying a solid foundation for the Agency’s continued growth and development.
The Agency looks forward to working closely with the newly appointed Board to accelerate economic transformation, foster innovation, strengthen partnerships, and position Mpumalanga as a competitive investment destination.
