MEGA TO SHOWCASE MPUMALANGA’S MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE AT MANUFACTURING INDABA 2026.
The Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA), in partnership with the Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDT), will participate in the Manufacturing Indaba 2026, taking place from 14–15 July 2026 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg. The participation forms part of the province’s ongoing commitment to accelerate industrialisation, expand market access for local manufacturers, and position Mpumalanga as a competitive manufacturing and investment destination.
Manufacturing Indaba is Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading manufacturing conference and exhibition, bringing together government, investors, manufacturers, innovators, policymakers and industry leaders to explore opportunities that strengthen Africa’s manufacturing sector. Through this platform, MEGA aims to create meaningful opportunities for local enterprises to connect with new markets, attract investment and establish strategic business partnerships that contribute to economic growth and sustainable job creation.
The Agency’s participation is aligned with its mandate to stimulate economic development through enterprise support, trade promotion and investment facilitation. The exhibition will provide participating businesses with direct access to buyers, investors and decision-makers while exposing them to the latest developments in manufacturing technologies, industrial innovation, digital transformation, automation and sustainable production practices.
This year’s participation also demonstrates the continued collaboration between MEGA and DEDT to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises across Mpumalanga. By creating opportunities for local businesses to showcase their products and capabilities on a national platform, the Agency seeks to unlock new commercial opportunities that will enhance export readiness and improve the province’s industrial profile.
Five manufacturing enterprises representing the three district municipalities have been selected through a rigorous evaluation process based on their growth potential, manufacturing capability and alignment with provincial economic priorities. The participating enterprises are:
• Mi-Shine Group (Nkomazi Local Municipality) – Cleaning Detergents
• Times Ten (Pty) Ltd (Mbombela Local Municipality) – Clothing and Textile Manufacturing
• Dillets Sanitary Products (Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality) – Sanitary Products Manufacturing
• Rockerfello Quality Paint (Victor Khanye Local Municipality) – Construction Chemicals
• LC7 Living Beauty Spa (Pty) Ltd (Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality) – Body Care Products
During the two-day exhibition, participating businesses will exhibit their products and innovative solutions to thousands of local and international visitors, engage potential investors and customers, participate in business-to-business networking sessions, and gain valuable insights into emerging manufacturing trends and policy developments shaping Africa’s industrial future. The event also presents opportunities to explore the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and other regional trade initiatives that can unlock new export markets for Mpumalanga manufacturers.
MEGA Chief Executive Officer, Mr MI Mahlangu, said the Agency remains committed to creating sustainable opportunities that enable local enterprises to compete successfully in national, continental and global markets.
“Manufacturing remains one of the key drivers of economic growth, industrial development and employment creation in Mpumalanga. Our participation in Manufacturing Indaba 2026 demonstrates MEGA’s commitment to supporting local manufacturers by providing platforms that improve market access, attract investment and build strategic partnerships. We are confident that the selected enterprises will proudly showcase the innovation, quality and potential that exists within our province.”
The Manufacturing Indaba also provides an important platform for knowledge sharing, allowing participating enterprises to engage with industry experts on topics including Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), smart manufacturing, sustainability, localisation and value-added production. These engagements will strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of Mpumalanga’s manufacturing sector while supporting the province’s long-term industrial development agenda.
MEGA believes that supporting local manufacturers to access high-impact exhibitions is essential to expanding exports, attracting investment, stimulating enterprise growth and creating inclusive economic opportunities across the province. The Agency will continue working with strategic partners to ensure that Mpumalanga businesses are equipped to compete successfully in both domestic and international markets.
Advancing Enterprise. Elevating Mpumalanga.
